Product Review

This is a review for 2 feminine products -
1. Krista's cups pStyle - Lavender and
2. GoGirl Female Urination Device - Pink

Go to the reviews after the jump -

Have you ever went to public toilets and seen the rims glistening with droplets that you know isn't water? It is disgusting but that is a reality. Usual times I would try to position myself just over the toilet seat and let loose, but most times I would avoid going to the restroom when I am outside (with a little bit of planning of course). But it got so bad that I decided to look up some products that might aid, and lo and behold, amazon had female urination devices. What will we do if not for Amazon!

However, it should be a funny sight for a girl to go into a woman's bathroom, and pee with her legs facing towards the toilet. They should be giving me funny looks, but I have my pStyle in my hand in case they ask me. So far no has asked, I wonder if they don't notice, or they think I am made differently, and accept it?

Here we go -

GoGirl female urination device

I first ordered the GoGirl that you can find here . At $10, it is a great product, but it didn't work out so well for me. I used it for 3 times and then decided to buy something else.

Pros :
-comes with a roll away tube, discretely carry it in your pocket
-Rubber-like material that is flexible, easy to wash
-Comes with a baggie and tissue
-Comes in pink and khaki colors
-Reasonably priced
-Shipped by Amazon prime sellers (mine came in 2 days)

Cons :
-There is no ventilation inside this tube so if you don't wipe away the water, a few droplets remain till the next time you use it. Prolonged exposure to water may cause bacteria I guess
- Maybe it's just me, but the material was too soft for my body. I had to stand very close to the toilet seat with my pants around my ankles, and lean forward way to much, and the urine over-flowed the 3 times I used it onto my panties. I guess that's because my flow of  urine couldn't fit into the tube with its volume.
-Cant return it because it is a personal device, so I am stuck with a device that doesn't work for me
- To fold it away into the tube, you need to have some flat space where you can lay it down, roll it and then stuff it away. It is okay in my office, but if I use it in the public spaces, there isn't much space to do that, and with the  bacteria lining everything, I wouldn't do it outside too.

Kristas pStyle Urination Device

Buy Krista's pStyle urination device here.  I purchased this after the failure of the GoGirl, and this one stays in my purse always.
Pros :
-Longer and sleeker design, channels the urine away from your body, giving a more natural feel that a man might feel
-Hard rigid plastic
-it is a open funnel, so no overflow issues with this one
-Lot of colors including clear and other colors like Orange Green and Pink.
-The water dries up very quick  because it is an open design, or you just vigorously shake it and the water droplets fall off.
-Use the back edge to 'wipe' off any urine left back. Very convenient design.
-Between $9-12, doesn't break your bank, and I suppose it will last very long. It is made of plastic after all, those things will be around for centuries if you don't burn it or cut it up.

Cons :
-No cover/pouch to keep it away from spying eyes, and for sanitary purposes. It just sits in my handbag, collecting all sorts of things. When I use it, I just rinse it before I go in the stall. (So far no one has asked me what it is when I rinse it out, I wish they would because they must be thinking something else when they see me pee with my legs towards the toilet seat instead of away!yikes!)
-Because it is rigid, it doesn't fold away, but it is one thing I am willing to give up for functionality. I put this in here because I am comparing the pStyle with the GoGirl which had a small convenient box.
-It is quite long, compared to the GoGirl device and doesn't fit in your pant pocket (at least mine). So you might have to take a bag with you where you keep it. If you are a DIYer, you can make a cute pouch I suppose.

This product has performed better than expected, and the first time I used it, I got comfortable with it. Didn't need a test run or anything. There are other urination devices, do your research, read reviews, and figure out your needs before ordering one.

I have used them on travels, and this along with the Diva Menstrual cup (a review on this awesome item 2 be posted) makes urination during periods a breeze. I don't need to worry about messy trips to the John or avoiding them altogether for that matter.
